In the last few day’s I have been contacted by the lovely people at Farfetch and they have asked me to create a post for you – my lovely readers – to share my essential items for a weekend getaway.
For this, we had the choice to base our weekend getaway in one of four major cities : Milan, New York, Paris, and London. As a lover of Parisian culture whether it be the style, art or their perfect patisserie’s, I’ve decided to opt for Paris; Instantly I had several ideas of how to showcase the classic french style and really wanted to make sure both outfits had a style that brought them together.
Farfetch Outfit One
When travelling in summer I definitely prefer to wear something light and airy yet still easy to travel and walk in so for my first outfit I created this playful look, perfect for a sunny day walking along the river Seine. I loved this playful Chinti and Parker Striped Star Top tucked into this gorgeous Micheal Kors Floral Skirt I found. Shoes-wise I find the best shoes for walking have a small slight heel to them which is why I picked these Marni “Fussbett” Embellished Sandals which had a beautiful 3d floral design to go perfectly with the skirt. For accessories, I went for the classic “Audrey Hepburn Inspired” Dior Cat-Eye Sunglasses perfect for hot summer days, a statement Lanvin Collar Necklace, a small Jil Sander Crossbody Bag as when walking around a city, thh and lastly to finish I just had to add this Muveil Beret because of course who wouldn’t add a beret if they were in France.
Farfetch Outfit Two
From living in England the whole of my life I can tell you now, weather is completely unpredictable. That’s why I’ve created an alternative outfit for a more overcast day in Paris, whether it be enjoying the Louvre to top up on Culture and Art or burning through your pennies in the Carrousel de Louvre; this outfit is perfect for a city venture. Like my last outfit, I am starting off with a Forte Forte Striped Jumper to add some Parisian styling followed by this gorgeous statement Robert Cavalli Bird Feather Jeans. This time, I went a little less practical for my shoe choices and added these delicate Paul Andrew “Floral” Sandals which for extensive walking would not be my first choice however because they’re so beautiful, for some light sightseeing you could probably get away with them. The accessories include yet again some classic Dolce and Gabbana Cat-Eye Sunglasses but this time in a warmer tortoiseshell shade, this statement Etro Sequin Necklace which adds some colour, a Dolce and Gabbana “Sicily” Backpack for carrying tourism essentials – a purse, camera, a map and more – and to bring the whole outfit together Burberry Brit Blazer Jacket which gave me the inspiration for this whole outfit.
