New Years Quick & Easy Day to Night Look

It’s Christmas Eve, I’m all cuddled up on the sofa, halfway into watching The Muppets Christmas Carol and I realised I had still yet to publish this post. I haven’t shared a style post with you for about 2-3 months *jeezus* but as it’s coming up to New Years I wanted to share a cosy outfit post but was stuck between a festive day look or a snazzy night look so decided to just combine the two and create a New Years Quick & Easy Day to Night Look for you to enjoy.

On the days after Christmas, I always make sure to see old friends, indulge in life’s little luxuries – i.e. eat as much chocolate and cheese as my stomach will handle – and go on a few winter walks – to work off the previous -. For this, I want to dress up warm enough to handle the cold outdoors, still feel comfortable in what I’m wearing and be able to strip a little if I go inside a house or shop that has it’s heating up to 30 degrees – the sauna effect – where in all honesty there is not one outfit that fits every temperature. I decided on this cosy Cowl Neck Knit in Oatmeal from Blue Vanilla which can easily be dressed up or down, luckily it’s a medium thickness so keeps me warm outside but doesn’t overheat me inside – thank god -. I tucked it into this ASOS Demin Button Through Skater Skirt in Washed Black to make it a bit more casual, little Brown Ankle Boots from Primark – the gold detail drew me in – and lastly I added a Monki Oversized Check Scarf for a bit of extra warmth; which may I say may be my new favourite thing, I’m pretty sure I wear it everywhere. For makeup, I like to keep it quite minimal and fresh during the day with just a little brown kohl liner, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, Benefit Soft & Natural Brow Kit and M.A.C’s Lady Danger which is my perfect red!

As for an evening outing, I add a tank top underneath my Blue Vanilla Knit to keep myself extra warm at night, I then pair this with my glorious Khaki Suede Jacket from Zara, along with a pair of skinny black jeans and high-heeled black boots from Primark. If I need a scarf, I make sure to take my ASOS Oversized Scarf with Tassels in Herringbone Geo. For this Makeup Look, I have used Kat Von D Tattoo Liner to create a cat eye, Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Palette as it’s easy to pop into my bag in case of touch-up’s and Kat Von D’s Liquid Lipstick in Lolita.

What have you got planned for New Years? Let me know in the comments!
