It’s always exciting to get an invite to a blogging event, even after doing this for three years *yikes* and whilst I’ve been to plenty of events in London *creating a nice dent in my purse* I’ve never gone to a local bloggers gathering. Luckily I managed to find Norwich Bloggers on twitter and get on their mailing list for their next event. Networking your local area is a great way to make connections with local businesses and fellow bloggers; speaking of bloggers you may find yourself a new bestie to take each others outfit photos and end up going to instagrammable cafes together.
After suffering from gluten intolerance for years; this year I decided to take the plunge and go gluten free *let me tell you it’s bloody difficult when you love cake and pasta* luckily Milk & Moss were on hand right at the front of the event showcasing their delicious gluten free and vegan cupcakes! With delicious flavours such as double vanilla and salted caramel chocolate I couldn’t resist picking up a vanilla one to devour. I love the delicate flower decoration on top and ended up nearly eating it *I didn’t realise it was a real flower at first*!
Ever since I can remember I’ve shopped at Just Essentials for a variety of beauty and hair products; whether it be for costume makeup, bargain beauty dupes, some cheap hair ties/bobbi pins *they always go missing* or even scary eye contacts for Halloween! On the day they were showcasing the brand Exposed Cosmetics which they sell in store, they were also hosting a competition for a nice bundle of exposed products to try out but as per usual I didn’t win but luckily enough I managed to grab a goody bag with a few makeup items in!
Home to all of Norwich’s luxury brand’s, the lovely ladies from Jarrolds were there to talk to us about the new brands they have coming into store later this year and their own blogger events that are hosted in-store throughout the year. One of my new favourite makeup brands is Charlotte Tilbury (here’s my recent review of her Instant Look in a Palette), for its swoon-worthy rose gold packaging and excellent quality beauty products; however I’m not a fan of buying high-end makeup through the internet as you can’t test the products for colour and pigmentation. Well, Jarrolds has definitely solved that problem by introducing a Charlotte Tilbury pop-up stand into it’s Norwich store and is offering appointment’s for your very own makeover *it’s only on for a short time so make sure you book!*. Later on in the year they are also introducing Bobbi Brown into store and making their M.A.C store large, effectively granting all my wishes this year.
One of my all time favourite makeup brands, I was ecstatic to hear that Benefit would be attending the event on Sunday (here’s my post on their cheeky sweet spot palette). The manager of their House of Fraser stand , Holly, was there to chat with us giving us some information about the brand and their blogger scheme, along with giving us an exciting goody bag. Hopefully, they’ll be in touch soon so I can feature some new and exciting products on FarewellMay!
A brand I have come to love in Norwich is Lisa Angel, a gifts, jewellery and homeware store filled with lots of rose gold and lots of Instagram-worthy gifts; it’s a store I would love to work with or even work in their storey! The girls at Lisa Angel were lovely enough to gift me a rose gold beaded pineapple bracelet along with a little ‘a’ initial added on to personalise it. I have also been gifted a discount code and I’m still unsure whether to spend it on some homeware for my new university room or some personalised jewellery. Below are some of the selections of jewellery that they sell in their stores.
There were a few other brands there including :
Make sure you check them out!
We also received some Curl Cream from The Curl Company which helps to define and enhance curls, and an Amie Skincare Mask which I am dying to try out.
and finally, a code for you guys to use for Lisa Angel!

Thank you to everyone who gifted me products at the event, I really appreciate them and can’t wait to try them out. Thank you also to the Norwich Bloggers girls who put on such an amazing event; I had a lovely time and made lots of new blogger friends!
